Fresh when it gets here from

As noted in the previous entry, I spent part of last Tuesday roaming the antique stores in McKinney's square. Like any of that kind of shopping, it's hit-and-miss, but I found a few goodies for the Nostalgia section - including more disturbing food mascots. Those will come over the next couple of weeks, I hope. In the meantime, here's a peek at a piece of 1918 sheet music I found:
The "Desperate Guy" in on the cover is "Little Billy" Rhodes, best known as the Barrister in The Wizard of Oz and (for you bad film aficionados) as the bad guy in Terror of Tiny Town. Looks like he had quite the career until the early 1940s or so.
I've no idea whether or not the signature is genuine, but it's an interesting addition to the ephemera collection.
The co-lyricist is Arthur Freed, a lyricist who went on to co-produce The Wizard of Oz and from there produce many of the outstanding MGM musicals.
This music isn't linked up yet, but I hope to get it and some more updates going soon. I've got some other stuff on the front burner right now, like a production for Soonercon and high school graduation. Bear with me.
