Where has she been? And where will she be?
Hi, I'm here, and I'm alive! Well, better than alive. As of my May scan, I'm cancer free!
I finished my final chemotherapy treatment on May 1 and rang the bell!
The doctor said it would take about 4-6 weeks before I started to feel better. Well, he was wrong. I started to feel better sooner than that! I suppose part of that was just the relief that the chemo was over with. I'm starting to get my energy back, but I'm still having neuropathy issues. Thos...

Oh hai. I'm still alive. This three week chemo schedule gives my body some much-needed extra time to recover, but it hits me harder. My care team assures me that what I'm experiencing is within the bell curve of normal, if normal is even a proper term.
Had a check-in with my PCP yesterday, and there was nothing unexpected going on there, so that's all good.

A Bit of a Medical Update
Chemo got delayed this week. All of my blood work was great - except for those pesky platelets. Best practice is to lay off chemo for another week because this is not the time to visit the ER for a blood transfusion. That's where the sick people go!
Now I can go outside and drag the plants in without having to worry about my chem ball. So yeah, it's a good thing all around.

More Medical Updatery
Minor medical update, and less bitchy, too! So, Tuesday was my chemo infusion. The doctor was concerned that my white blood count was almost *too* low. There's a point - like with the red blood cell count- where they won't do chemo. If it had been any lower we might have had to postpone for a week. The plan was for me to come back today and get blood work done before the chemo ball removal so they could give me a shot if necessary.

A Long Overdue Medical/Life Update
This week is chemo week and today was the worst chemo brain day ever. And yet, I carried on with some tasks because some people expect me to do so. Some people seem to think I can do everything I did before chemo and then some. The drugs aren't *that* kind of good, folks.
