I meant to post as usual this morning, but
it's been a very wild day.
Making
Light and
Miss Snark for the latest on the Absolute Write/Barbara Bauer issue. It
just gets curiouser and curiouser. The comment trails to both posts are
long, but worth reading.
Spent the day taking the relative to the
doc again. Yep, this is the same one that had the procedure on Tuesday. The
news is encouraging. I won't bore you with names or details beyond that.
Chris went along with me, and we stopped
off at Krispy Kreme for a donut and coffee. The light was on, so that meant
an extra donut! Just what my waist needs, but Chris was ecstatic. We also
picked some up to take to the relative. She's a donut fanatic.
Chris got a double-dose of good news this
afternoon. First, he passed the TAKS, and nearly got commended performance
level on Social Studies. Last year he got the passing score for Math just
right on the button, which really got us worried about this year. No
problem! He not only passed, but aced quadratic equations. Passing the test
is required for graduation. Then we found his grades online. He passed
math!!! Oh, I've gone on about his problems with the teacher, so I won't
rehash that. His other grades were A's and B's, so we're all very happy.
We've got one more weekend of Return
With Us Now..., so blogging may be sporadic until Monday.
>Since Lisa asked, Return With Us Now...
is audio theatre. It takes place in a radio station on D-Day, June 6, 1941.
So far it's been a lot of fun.
Today's picture is the promised Oscar
Wilde, and that will be linked up in the next post. Then I hope to get
around to seeing all of the Round Robin entries at last. It's been such a
long week!
