Playing catch up with the world:
Well, it's been a long weekend. I do have two new events to note: In November the Generic Radio Workshop will be performing at the Vintage Radio and Phonograph Society's annual convetnion. Then in February we'll be working with the Greater Lewisville Community Theatre again to produce a fundraiser. More info on both as the dates approach. The items are noted on the Events page for now.
I've also spent way too long on the Wikipedia research. I think I found some relevant information, and I passed it along to someone else for evaluation.
And yesterday we got six drops of rain! I can tell you're impressed. Even better than the rain, we got a nice breeze out of the east. At least it felt cooler.
Today was the first day of the new diet. Oh, joy. My doctor has suggested that I give South Beach a shot, so I'll see what happens. Points in its favor: It doesn't rely on supplements or expensive, prepared foods. There are no promises of how much weight I can lose. So yeah, if this fails like everything else I'll be let down easy - I hope. On the down side I hate giving up some of the stuff I love. But I'd do that with just about any diet. We'll see how it goes.
Chris is finally starting to drive a little on his own. Tonight he'll take the car to Scouts. Scary thought, that. So if you're on the roads - watch out!
I've got a picture to post and still more writing to do this evening. Have fun...
