For the curious, the prom went well. Chris got home about 5:30, which is about the time I expected. No, I wouldn't let hims stay out that late normally, but he was at a safe, supervised after-hours party. He even won a door prize: a $50 car rental certificate. Now tell me what a 17 year-old kid is going to do with that.
For what it's worth, I did put up something for International Pixel-Stained Technopeasants Day. I'm working on another piece and if it comes out okay I'll post it. It'll probably be a partial short story. We shall see. I'm having a little trouble jump-starting my work these days, so this is more of an exercise than anything else. But I'll leave you with this: The subject is one of the top search terms that lead people to this web site.
Spent most of yesterday not breathing. Oh, how I love the smell of resin in the morning! Not at all. We've got another home improvement project going on - resurfacing the floor of a shower. Lots of smell and dust - but it had to be done.
Better get back to work on the story. Hopefully I'll have something to post before the day is out.
