The following is repeated errors and all. The web address has been deleted;

From: Microsoft INC

Subject: The latest Spyware software from Microsoft Company.Keep your computer safe!

Hello, A new windows spyware program has been released, only users that updated usually get to have it. The program is available at the following web address:

(Non-MS address deleted. You don't wanna click there.)

Yep, I'd bet it is spyware.

You know the drill, folks: Get your updates directly from the vendor. Accept no substitutes.

Another e-mail says I've won the Microsoft lottery. It has a PDF attachment, which is the latest attempt to fool spam filters. The PDF is probably safe, but I'm not opening it. From what I've read they usually have links to malware sites inside. You'd actually have to click on the link to get something to happen. Still, I don't open attachments from non-trusted sources. And you shouldn't either.

Have a happy and safe 4th, and careful with your inbox!
