I am dog tired, and the day is only half over. I bowled six games this morning. Yes, SIX games. This is the last day of regular bowling for the summer season. (Next week is payout and a sweeper, which is bowling for fun - and a few bucks.) Wonder of wonders, our team was three games out of first place. The last week is a position round. This means the first place team bowls the second place team, the third place team bowls the fourth place team, and so on. We took three games, which tied us for first place. Wonderful!

Only one small problem: The rules don't allow for a tie for first place, and call for a three-game roll-off to determine the winner. We stayed and bowled three more games.

Amazingly, we won the roll-off, which puts us in first place. We were up against a very good team, and we were surprised to even be in a tie with them at the end of the first three games.

My highlight was a 245 in the second game of the first series. I strung seven strikes in a row. It would be nice to do that tonight, but I'm not holding my breath.

Yes, tonight. It's position round in our other league as well. I think I'm going to take some Ibuprofen and chill out for a bit.
