Via WFMU's Beware of the Blog.

Some of the images are NOT safe to view at work.The first one, while possibly barely work safe, may cause you to spew beverage on your keyboard. You HAVE been warned. I'll leave the jokes on that cover as an exercise to the reader.

I should be grateful that none of the zines I worked on are represented in this gallery, unless you count that I did contribute some articles to the QL zine shown.

As best I can tell, they Googled for images tied to the words "early" and "fanzines" - or just fanzines. The result comes from a handful of sites that happened to post pictures of their past efforts. Really, there are lots of covers there as clean as The Observer, but it's the slash and such that's getting everyone's attention. Plus ca change....
