The Rain, it Raineth

Fresh when it gets here from Julie Barrett

Another rainy day in what may be a rainy week. Welcome to fall in our area. Hey, this is one way nature makes up for the dry summers. The forecast map calls for the eye of the remains of Hurricane Ike to pass just to the west of here over the weekend. We may be drenched by the end of the weekend.

Finally got my trip to Half Price Books this afternoon, during which I picked up three LP's. Oh, my ears! That's all I'm going to say for now.

But mostly, I'm tired. Crap is piling up on my desk again. Last night was one of those nights where I got a couple of hours of solid sleep then woke up at least once every hour afterward. Really, what do I have to do to get some sleep? I'm too dead to write and I still have to finish this audio play off. It needs to be done by the weekend. The performance is still a little over three weeks off, but Paul can't pull sound effects until he has a script in had. So I'm the bottleneck. It's a short bit so it shouldn't take him long, but that's no excuse for me not to write.

It's not even 7:30 yet, but I think I'll go ahead and fall into bed and read.

Before I do:

cat
more animals

I needed a laugh.
