Noisy Afternoon
Fresh when it gets here from

Right now there's a terrible commotion outside the door:

Pardon me while I say, "drill, baby! Drill!"
That truck is part of a work crew that will probably be encamped on our street for a few days. According to the sign, it's "street rehab," which sounds like a fancy place to take concrete for pothole addiction. In a way, that's true. Somehow the city found the money to go up and down the street fixing potholes. And I don't mean slapping a little asphalt in a hole and calling it good. Oh, no! They're cutting out large chunks of concrete and pouring new stuff.
So yes, it'll be noisy, and I may go camp out at the coffee shop for a day or two, but it'll be worth it.
