Monday Mumblings Needs and Antihistamine

Fresh when it gets here from Julie Barrett

Ah, Spring in North Texas. I've switched antihistamines, but I'm not sure if it's doing any good. I'll give it a few days.

I'm working up to a post about attending conventions, but I've got to get past other items first.

Spent much of the day attempting to come up with the right terminology for some documentation I'm trying to write. I know what I want to say, but how to say it is a real bear. Oh, words are my business. I ended up killing several long, boring paragraphs and replacing them with three bullet points.

And they were still wrong.

Oh, but they were short, and oh, so sweet. The words were beautiful.

But they were wrong.

Also spent some time in a valiant attempt to get that one last piece of documentation I needed to file our tax return. After much wailing and gnashing of teeth I found I didn't need the documentation because the amount involved was too piddling. Ah, the joys of living in this troubled economy.

Also spent an hour tracking down a problem with some blog posts falling into the Gorge of Eternal Peril. Oh, you don't want the geeky explanation. Let's just say it was SQL. Again. Essentially, any post with comments was hosed. It's fixed now. Comment away.

So how has your day been?
