Looks as though I was writing about AOL screen names

I didn't know that about the ground-floor AOL screen names. My first was 8 characters plus two spaces, the spaces only showing up inside AOL. I caught the Stately Barrett Manor reference the first time I saw it. I remember the tour, too. I always thought it was pretty darn cool you could do something like that. And yeah, one of the reasons I wrote about MAY-vah-rinn is that pretty much everyone pronounces it wrong. Someday, I want everyone in sff to prounounce it correctly as a matter of course - you know, as a side effect of the series' great
