We're back!
Woke up this morning to a cable modem outage. I reset the modem - nothing. Checked the lower channels on the cable - looked no worse than usual, which is to say they're broadcast and not HD channels. After I got Chris to school I called the cable company. After navigating through voice mail hell I got a chipper recorded message stating that they were performing maintenance in the area in order to provide us with the best service possible.
