We had a major calendar fail. We thought we had booked theater tickets for today and they were for yesterday. Yikes!

Oh, well.

We toured the Westminster Palace today, better known as the Houses of Parliament. We sprung for the self-guided tour, which came with the use of a media device. It was fascinating aa both chambers were empty, and we got to see some cool things. Unfortunately, photography was only allowed in limited areas.

Lunch was at the Red Lion, where a tavern of some sort has stood since 1531. Of course, it was a favorite haunt of Charles Dickens. What pub wasn’t?

Dinner was okay. All of the spots we tried to get in were crowded.

Also, the bruises from Tuesday’s mishaps have come in. It’s a good thing I’m not wearing shorts.

We have an early morning so we can catch our flight.

All in all, it was good to get away. Too bad I had to come back homme to the grind.
