The current issue of JPG Magazine has an article on Poor Man's Macro. The technique is simple: Just slap a 50mm lens front-to-front with the lens on your camera. The article explains how to do it.
This technique requires a lot of experimentation, but it's kind of fun. It's certainly a different way to look at macro photography. Here's one shot from today's session:
Can you guess what it is? This is one digit on the timer on my oven. The condensation is from steam coming out of the oven.
