This 'n That

Feeling better today, but still trying to take it sort of easy. I'm just going to catch up on a few items:

  • After Tuesday's rant about my problems with Sprint I see this Business Week web section on customer service. Read Sprint's Wake-Up Call and peruse some of the comments. Wow. I'm glad to see that an effort to improve customer service is under way, but they need to do something now to stop the bleeding. And they need to start communicating with their customers.
  • So how about a good CS story? This didn't happen to me, but it's cool. A friend is going to visit her parents in a neighboring state, and they requested that she bring some Dublin Dr Pepper. She asked a mailing list that I'm on and we all provided her with a list of local outlets that we knew sold it or the cans that are not from Dublin, but use Imperial Pure Cane Sugar. She walked into a neighborhood outlet of a chain we suggested and couldn't find the stuff. A Dr Pepper employee happened to be there stocking shelves at the time. He didn't carry the stuff in his truck, but he got on his radio and asked a few questions and found a store nearby that stocked the product. He could have shrugged his shoulders and gone back to stocking shelves, but he didn't.
  • Preditors and Editors is an excellent resource for writers and artists. They are being sued and are asking for donations to help with their legal fees. There are a few details on that page. (Via Dear Author.)

More later, perhaps. Even though I'm taking it easy on the physical front, I still have stuff to do.
