It's a bit more challenging without a DSLR, but at least I got something.
The Queen of Hearts has been in downtown Plano for over 20 years. It was started by Carlo and Annie who moved here from Las Vegas, as I recall. Carlo had been a stage musician, and the store was a gift to his wife, and named after her. Yep, he called her his Queen of Hearts.
I used to hang out there quite a bit before the kid came along.
The store has a huge following among costume and theatre folks as they carry a pretty decent line of stage makeup. Of course, they have a web site.
They're typical of most of the business downtown - small, owned by families or a sole proprietor or partnership.
Next door is a shop that specializes in British antiques. We have one of their pieces in the living room - a 1930's Art Deco side-by-side. You can see a bit of it in this year's Catmas card.
