While the rest of North America is on pins and needles waiting for the arrival of Punxutawney Phil, our feline barometer is predicting warm weather. How do I know this? She's shedding. Her number one of getting rid of the unwanted hair is by presenting a demand to be petted, and expecting it to be fulfilled.
Note the hairs flying from her fur.
Before the session she did deign to sit for one of her "iconic" poses on the perch:
But you know, she was really planning a tradeoff: one picture, then LOTS of petting.
