A busy, odd couple of days, what can I say? I dropped off to sleep (wonder of wonders) last night only to wake up at 1:30 to the sound of Midnight leaving a gift. I woke up at 3:30 with a hot flash and decided to get up for a moment - and discovered the present. Oh, joy. Snuck back into the room with a tiny flashlight and some cleaning supplies to take care of it. Amazingly, I did get back to sleep. Feeling better today. I hope the bug will be all worn off by tomorrow.
Now, let's see if I can catch up on a few things:
Jumpcon organizer faces fraud, theft charges.
An author has been orderd by a court to return his $100,000 advance to HarperCollins.
Publisher's Weekly has reviewed "Two of the Deadliest."
It's election season in Texas. I got my first robocall yesterday. Grr.
How about the "Heroes" season finale? I have mixed feelings. Part of me thinks it could get interesting, but part of me just wants to go bang my head against the wall in hopes it was a bad dream.
And then there was "House." Uh, yeah. I could see how his mind might manifest that hallucination. It's not entirely because he's guilty over Amber's death - he fired her in the first place because she was too much like him. It was a fascinating look into how his mind works. And poor Wilson. Wonder what happened to the duck?
No telly tonight. I've spent the day repairing stuff on the web server. The data was intact, but a lot of settings were lost. Let me know if you run into any problems.
And now, I'm off to try to sleep.
