First is via Miss Snark (linked on the left). Kit Whitfield's The Publisher-Dating Dictionary, which translates common, but misguided phrases from cover letters to datespeak. My favorite:
You say: 'I've chosen you to be my publishers.'
Dating equivalent: 'Get your coat, love, you've pulled.'
I had to wipe the coffee from the keyboard after reading that one.
Writer Beware has issued another update to the Twenty Worst Agencies List.
