I was up far too late last night. I should have just stepped away from the computer about 9:00, but no, I had to bang away at this comment feed issue.
(Geekspeak alert!) All I need to do is pass a variable (in this case the ID number of the journal entry) to another page. It's something I've done a million times and should be able to do in my sleep. It ain't working.
Enough of the Geekspeak, but suffice it to say that if you do click on the link to get the feed that you'll get a placeholder page of comments for one particular entry. That seemed better than leaving up a cryptic error message.
Of course, I went to bed and couldn't sleep for thinking about it. I finally fell into a deep sleep sometime after 3:00 and then an hour later Midnight decided it was hairball time. You can set your watch by that danged cat and her hairballs. It's always around 4:15-4:30 in the morning. And she has to deposit her "present" on the bed. We both woke up and got her off the bed. Of course, I couldn't go back to sleep.
I wouldn't have stayed up so late had it not been for the fact that today's head shots got canceled. We're still rehearsing, but I don't have to dress up and do the deer-in-headlights thing for the photographer.
We're finally above freezing and the roads are mostly clear. Now we're due for a chance of ice pellets tomorrow night and Saturday. Joy.
Unfortunately the weather isn't cooperating for photography. Perhaps I'll play with the RR challenge if I have the time today. I still need to punch and bind the scripts, but that shouldn't take long.
And speaking of photography stuff - as much as I love Zooomr and as much as I realize it's in beta and as much as I realize that it's mostly one guy, I'll be happy when they get my upload issue fixed. Apparently some are experiencing it and some aren't. I can upload to Flickr with no problem, even with the juploadr tool. Juploadr is cool, but I found out the hard way that it doesn't work with XP 64-bit. Grr. Works fine from my notebook, though.
Guess I need to make an attempt to get some work done today.
