This is a first. I made a deposit to my checking account a couple of hours ago. It's already showing up as a pending transaction online. Usually it takes at least a day for a deposit to show up on my account. Debits, however, seem to process as fast as the transaction can zoom through the financial network. Imagine my surprise when the credit showed up BEFORE my debits for lunch and an ink cartridge purchase.
Did I just hear Hell freeze over?

I wonder the same thing... Why do deposits take forever and a day to post to a bank account. Yet as soon as u swipe that lil card in the machine that money is immediately removed from the account.
