I've been watching the results of the latest primary elections in other states with interest. It seems I may have to eat some words. The Texas presidential primaries are generally meaningless because the time our election rolls around the nominees are all but chosen. (Yes, that's right: Bush's nomination was a done deal before we got to vote. You can blame us for plenty of things, but not for THAT.)
This year it looks like an honest-to-goodness race, particularly on the Democratic side.
The cool thing about this is that it might entice more people - in both parties - to get out and vote in the primary elections. This could give some of the entrenched poster people for term limits a run for their fat campaign chests.
Pass the salt.
