And about to take a big gulp and go back under again.
Why yes, FenCon IS next week, isn't it? And this year I'm the Conchair, which means work, work, work...
So, what else have I done with myself lately? Took off to Amradillocon in Austin a couple of weeks ago. Had a good time hanging out with people, plus I managed to sell some photos. Much rejoicing.
Bowling season started up again last week. Didn't bowl all that well, but tonight is another night. This morning, you ask? Well, I shot two lousy games than a 210. We were on 47-48 - the last lanes next to the door - and the lane conditions were ... interesting. took me until the end of the last game to get things figured out.
In case I don't make it back before Friday, I should mention that I'll be talking with Mike Honig on Hoston's Talk650 radio Friday at 1:00 pm CDT. They stream live, so you can listen to me make a fool of myself!
Most of my time has been deep in boring convention-related work. Well, boring to you. You really don't want to know the nuts and bolts of putting together a science fiction convention. Really, you don't. Unless, of course, you're looking for a cure for insomnia. For us this is fun, though nerve-wracking stuff. Any attempt to describe it would be the literary equivalent of watching paint dry. Trust me.
And now I have some work to wrap up before I run off to bowling. I hope to try to post before the con, though.
