Why gas prices go up much faster than they come down - It's what you think. Sort of. Interesting conclusion, though. Apparently folks quit comparison shopping when prices start to drop, and that lessens the downward pressure on prices.

Plan would require foster children to shop for clothing in thrift stores - Because foster parents would obviously have no clue how to bargain shop otherwise. Hey, I love thrift stores. But I also get that kids would generally rather have something new, even if it's off the deep clearance rack. And sometimes that stuff is less than what you'd find at a thrift store. Foster kids have enough of a hard time of it that they shouldn't be forced to be further stigmatized by their wardrobes.
