Monday Mumblings Has A New Pair Of Shoes

I finally found a halfway decent pair of athletic shoes at an affordable price this weekend. I generally wear Nike shoes - not because they're what the cool kids are wearing, but because they fit. Their air soles cushion my bad knees better than other brands, too. I watch for sales and hit the clearance racks. Yesterday I came upon a Nike outlet store. So $20 off a $100 pair of shoes is now an outlet price? Yeesh.

I made my way through the crowds of people gleefully paying those prices for shoes and clothing to the clearance wall. I found a decent pair of shoes for $40. The colors are a little loud, but I wasn't up to paying $40 more for muted colors. The hot pinks will tone down with wear.

The weather this weekend was absolutely gorgeous, and Paul and I went out on the motorcycle to hit the outlet stores and run other errands. As long as we're not buying anything large it's fine. (Though I was surprised to see the stuff he manages to carry on that bike.)

Paul's mission was to find a new pair of jeans. Blue jeans abound, grunge jeans are everywhere, but he wanted something more in a beige khaki color. He works in an office where business casual includes jeans, so sometimes he wants jeans in colors other than blue. The "hot" colors right now are blue and grunge green, apparently. He finally ordered a pair online.

Time to get down to work. I have some editing to do and more SQL coding. Joy. I'm also working on the radio show for SoonerCon and pecking away at a manuscript. Busy, busy!
