It's 100.7F on the front porch, 103F on the patio, and 105.8 at the local Weather Underground station. Any way you look at it, it's hot.
Ventured out in the heat yesterday for a lovely family dinner at
Herrera's to celebrate my sister's birthday.
Ventured out today to get groceries and hit a couple of thrift stores for some hat making items. Spent the rest of the weekend working on a design for a smoking cap.
Had a plot breakthrough on a story last week, too. I have a Labor Day deadline, and would like to get it out of the way and turned in early. This is for an anthology that looks to be very cool, and I'll have more info when I get the story finished and a contract signed.
So the house is hot (80F plus in the home office. Hooray for fans), and laundry is about finished. The kitchen, of all places, is probably the coolest room in the house. Not coincidentally, that's where the sewing nook is. Pardon me while I return and get some further design work out of the way.
