Back from the latest visit to the retina specialist, and the news is good. I won't need surgery on the tear, as it's repairing well on its own. Still have to just let all the other related crud (bits of blood, etc.) settle down. The risk of a detachment is very, very low now. I go back in May for a follow-up.
