Monday Mumblings Sifts Through The Spam Folder

Fresh when it gets here from Julie Barrett

Why yes, it is crazy around here, and things don't stand to let up until after Worldcon. Four more weeks. Yipes.

Also, it seems some emails to me are getting held up somewhere. I don't know where, but they sure as heck aren't making it to either my inbox or spam folder. I suspect they're getting caught in an ISP filter or something. If you're trying to reach me and are a Facebook friend, try leaving a message there. I don't always get notifications, although I'm supposed to. Try tweeting @JulieB as well.

So, what else is going on here? Not a lot. I'm so deep into planning for Worldcon and Fencon that most other things are getting shunted aside. We did go to a party Saturday and had a grand time. It was fun to get out of the house and hang out with friends.

I'm also doing a little more research on a novel. This is either more complex than I thought, or I'm making it more complex than it needs to be. The setting is New York in the early 1900s, meaning there are still some strict social and gender role structures in place, and some consequences for breaking the rules. This seems to be a good source of tension and possible mayhem to ensue, though probably not as a major plotline, though I can use it to throw some wrenches into the works.

So, am I having fun? Ask me in a month.
