I've got one of those wonderful cars with plastic-encased bumpers. Makes it very easy to hide a key - not.

Have a cheap, flat, thin, no-frills, no plastic handle, duplicate key made and put in your wallet. It will open the doors/trunk. Lacking the key chip to start the car is of no concern for the more common case of locking the real key within the car.

I've got one that actually fits in a credit card slot in the wallet - didn't do me much good the time I locked my purse in the car. See, I just can't win!
