He does have the quirky look I think the Dr should have. David T. was just too pretty. I did like his performance as the Dr, though. I think Matt will look ok when they cut some of his hair off. As for his performance, I can't remember who said it -but they said they KNEW when he auditioned he was IT. It may have been in the BBC release. So, yeah. Moffatt has written some of my favorite eps, so I will trust him. Saw the Xmas special. I know a lot of people didn't like it, but I did. Anyone know when it will be on in the States?

Yes, the man definitely needs to have his hair styled differently. But I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on that one. He could have it that way for a part he's playing now.
Oh, yes. I'll give Moffat the chance to do something with this guy. I love his writing, and I suspect he has some interesting ideas in regard to Dr Who.
I do notice that Matt Smith has a pretty fair number of theater credits, as did David Tennant. I think that's a plus. The Doctor is a larger than life character. I keep thinking about how Jeremy Brett did Sherlock Holmes in the more Victorian theatrical mode. There's something to that in portraying The Doctor, methinks.

Yeah, I guess I'll trust Moffat for now. But I wish he'd ditch the ugly haircut ;)
