Measuring the Snow

Fresh when it gets here from Julie Barrett
Thursday, February 11, 2010

We're at a little over 4".

How deep is it?

I know: You folks up north think we're darned fools, afraid of a little snow. We just don't get that much here. We're joking about ski season when we get half this much. And yes, that much is usually enough to paralyze the metro area.

Look at it this way: We don't get very much practice driving on the stuff. Our tires aren't meant for this type of weather. So yes, it's better for most of us to stay indoors. Please don't mock us, and we won't mock you when you melt into the asphalt in our 105F August afternoons. Deal?
