Round Robin Photo Challenge - "Free"

Fresh when it gets here from Julie Barrett
Monday, May 15, 2006

This is another that got lost in the Great Database Glitch of '06, but I think I can get the pictures back at least:

This coffee cup was a PBS premum. The man pictured is John Inman, who played Mr. Humphries on the Britcom Are You Being Served? His signature line was: "I'm free!"

Graduation. Freedom on many levels.

All the mile stones in our lives set us free to meet the challenges of the next in line. Loved your entry and thanks for the retrospect!

WOW, both were tied into this weeks challenge masterfully! Neat that you stuck to your goal and eventually (paid) off to be (free) for marriage! Congrats on each and every year!

This is GREAT! Your words are as good, if not better at evoking the meaning of FREE than the photos themselves. Great job! ~Phinney

Wow. Two very different approaches here. Three or four, really, now that I think about it some more. I especially loved reading what your high school and college years meant to you. I'm amazed anyone would have thought you needed a husband in lieu of a career. That's so 1960! Sure, college is a good place to meet the love of your life, but that's not what it's for, especially for someone with your talents. I'm glad you got both the degree and the spouse out of it! Karen

I well remember the free feeling at graduating from high school -- didn't make it through college, though. What a neat story about your graduation from college and I love the way both pictures tie in to the theme.

My grandparents watched that show and introduced it to my kids. They loved it! Your graduation story was really great! I live in a small town, so I really understood your "free." Loved the added romance :)
