Weekend Assignment

Yeah, I'm late.

What is the most unusual thing you've ever done with (or to) a family pet?

We used to have an Abyssinian that loved to go out on the leash. I kid you not. We'd take walks around the neighborhood. I'm sure I have some pictures of her on the leash somewhere, but I wouldn't be able to find them quickly.

Then there's Midnight, one of our current cats. She's very inquisitive and goes for anything electronic. I don't mean chasing laser pointers. Oh, no. She has to "supervise" any sort of tech-related activity. As a result I have a terrible time taking pictures of her because - you guessed it - she's more interested in nosing around the camera than sitting still for a picture. This predilection for all things electronic has earned her the nickname Geek Kitty. Here she is on the day after Thanksgiving:

Extra credit: What's your most unusual picture of a family pet? May we see it?

I don't know if this is unusual or not, but we do Catmas cards every year. We try to pose the cats in interesting situations (or Photoshop them in, as the case may be) related to the holidays. Some cards have been more successful than others, but they're always fun to do. Here's last year's card:
