Friday!

Fresh when it gets here from Julie Barrett

This has been a roller coaster of a week, but I'm glad to see it come to an end.

Went outdoors and took a few pictures this afternoon. One showed up in the Feline Friday post, two will show up in tomorrow's Round Robin, so why don't I show you the other three that made the cut?

Stuck On You

Curvy Vine

Twisted

I shot a little over fifty pictures today, so six publishable shots is pretty good. If you wonder what else I shoot, it's often several versions of the same subject. I vary the angle, the exposure, the depth of field, and then pick the best. Sometimes (more often than I care to admit) shots end up out of focus, or the exposure I try doesn't work. I don't always know until I get the pictures to my computer. Of course, that beats the old days of waiting to process the film (or have it processed), make contact sheets, then look at the best of the lot in the enlarger, and follow that with hours making prints.

Yes, it still takes time to make good prints from the printer, but my lungs don't miss the chemicals.

It felt good to get outdoors and shoot this afternoon. I'll be indoors for the weekend, I suspect. A cold front is pushing through the area, and temps will be about 30 degrees lower tomorrow and Sunday.

Have a good weekend, and thanks for stopping by, and thanks to everyone who has joined via Google!

Those are some vines that are climbing the fence next door. They put out those little suckers to attach themselves to a surface. Looks kind of alien, doesn't it?
