Well, we had a bit o' fun today. I heard the low rumble of thunder and looked out the window to see that it had become quite dark. So I did what any self-respecting photogeek would do: I grabbed the camera and ran outdoors. I ended up with an entire sequence of photos, but this one is probably the most dramatic:

The green sky is caused by the refraction of light through hailstones, or so a meteorologist told me once. In front of the green sky is a possible funnel cloud. We saw these clouds swirling away overhead - it looked like something out of a movie. Very unreal.

And yes, we're fine. The cloud never touched the ground. In fact, it broke up just as quickly as it formed.
